1) a SAVED church with all its various parts in vital union with Christ, as members of His body.

2) a SURRENDERED church whose greatest desire is to be surrendered to Christlikeness, in order that each part being like Christ, all parts will be united with each other.

3) a SUFFERING church, if need be, because it is the antagonist of the world and Satan.

4) a SOULWINNING church desiring to be a sounding board, an echo for the Word of the Lord.

5) a SECOND COMING church, whose purifying hope is the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
